For
70 years, Federal, public safety and international
customers have relied upon M/A COM in the design
and turnkey implementation of more than 600 digital
trunked LMR systems. This record of achievement
reflects our customer commitment and core competencies
in critical communications systems. M/A COM led
the way in the federal market with the first
P25 IP-based network with the Joint-National
Capital Region (J-NCR) system. We have deployed,
or are currently in the process of deploying,
implementing and maintaining, over 37 P25IP installations,
covering many DoD bases and over 16,000 users.
Our
J-NCR Regional P25IP system supported the July
2005 Fort A.P. Hill Boy Scout Jamboree,
which hosted over 45,000 people. In one day,
July 27, 2005, the system handled 25,000 calls—2,500
during the busy hour—and over 600 interoperability
calls during the busy hour. |

Among
M/A-COM’s P25IP experience,
we also serve many other U.S. military and government
installations
around the world with our exclusive EDACS networks.
Like other
M/A-COM systems, EDACS provides the dependability
required by government organizations, along with
cost-effective procurement with the use of Commercial
Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technology. In addition, M/A-COM’s
EDACS-based HYDRA shipboard communications system
has been deployed on over 60 US Navy ships using
COTS equipment with modifications to meet the needs
of a shipboard system.
Our
experience also includes the implementation of
two digital trunked LMR statewide multi-agency
systems (State of Florida and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania),
and nine large wide area and multi-state LMR systems
for utilities. We are also in the process of implementing
the largest statewide wireless public safety network
in the industry—the State of New York.
